 What Lifetime Replacement really means August 30, 2010

I received this product from Amazon and installed it per directions.
It did it's job well enough for a while. After 6 months, the screen protector started peeling off around the receiver area (where it has a hole -- for the sound I guess).
Well, it's been over a month since I filled out all the paperwork and documentation needed to get a replacement from Skinomi. They haven't responded to emails, voicemails (surprise: there's no human), nothing, nada, zip.
Let's be clear: Skinomi's "Lifetime Replacement" doesn't mean that they'll replace the screen for the lifetime of the product. It means that it will take a lifetime for them to GET the replacement to you.
Forget these guys.

After reading several reviews, I ended up purchasing this case. I was quite surprised by the speedy shipping. Came home 3 days after I ordered it and it appeared on my porch step. Opened the box and tried it on my palm pre and it snapped on perfectly. I like the thin but sturdy design. It feels excellent in the hand and pocket. I couldn't ask for a better case. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a thin but durable case.

It took a while before I finally received the product but I am definitely satisfied. Everyone is correct in that the air bubbles and marks go away after a couple of days.

I bought these screen protectors for our 2 Droid phones last November. When they wore out, I went to the company website and e-mailed customer support requesting replacements. I heard from them within 24 hours. They asked for my original order number, which I easily found in my Amazon.com records. I sent the requested information, heard from the company on the same day, and had my replacement screens within a week.
This is a good quality screen that attaches easily and wears well. I originally thought the price was a little high. But with the free replacements, I'm beginning to think it's a bargain.

This product was very hard to apply and it has 3 deep gashes in it within the first 2 weeks, something that didn't happen with the screen cover I had before. the only reason I replaced the previous screen cover was because it was peeling off of the side. This cover does a good job of NOT peeling from the sides, but it will scratch very quickly. Luckily, the nice thing is that it leaves your phone protected.
And when you apply the cover, be sure NOT TO HAVE YOUR PHONE ON. It says in the fine print on the directions that you need to have your phone turned off for 24-48 hours after applying, so that the water from the application doesn't run your electrical wiring in your phone..
Just fyi that may be inconvienent for those that use their phone on a daily basis.
Hope that is helpful - and I will definitely request my first lifetime replacement out of many more, I'm sure. Hopefully I can remove the one I'm using.
