4 out of 5 stars Amazing armband...tough to keep clean   August 7, 2010
Patrick L. Tims (Lincoln, NE USA)
Love it, fits well and is light. Keeps the iPhone secure and your earphone wires out of the way.

Main issue with it...I run alot, and I sweat alot....this thing stinks up something fierce and its just a pain in the ass to get clean.

5 out of 5 stars Def worth the $!!   June 27, 2010
Marcus (RALEIGH, NC, US)
Purchased this case for myself to use when working out/running and it hasnt failed yet. If at all possible I would suggest you buy one with the little headphone cable holder like the one i purchased. It keeps the cable out of my way when im running, doing pullups, or rowing.

Fast fit band is a plus too. Easy to adjust, material is very comfortable and it keeps my phone away from my body to moisture doesnt creep from the band into the phone case. The plastic covering the screen is also very user friendly.

The only negative comment I have is that the plastic makes the screen a bit difficult to read in direct sunlight, but that really isnt a big deal.

Yay for Belkin!

2 out of 5 stars Pinchy   May 2, 2010

Great idea. Bad execution. To get it snug enough on your arm, you pinch yourself in the clasp. Go the simpler route with the one that's a few dollars more.

2 out of 5 stars Wanted to love it; but it was too cumbersome   April 13, 2010

I was one of the few people on the planet to not have an iPod, not know how to use one, didn't think I needed one...

Thing is, I got my iPhone and was an instant iPhone addict. Love it...loved learning how to add songs onto it too since my car had a never-used iPod connection. I then picked up this armband at the Apple store nearby certain that I now had the perfect component to carry all the songs I had downloaded to my workout routine at the gym...well, to a point I was right.

This slipped on easily once I got the arm band situated to the right size in the clip, which is not done via velcro (which would have been a smart idea...that's what is used on my bodybugg armband and I often wear that 24/7 and it stays put. I think they should consider this for future models.)but through an adjustable belt-like stretchy band system. I slipped the phone in...which was a little tight, but not too hard to get in...and I was good to go.

As I began my warm up it was perfect. Stayed put, worked well. But I workout pretty HARD and once I got to a hard run, it was slipping down my arm considerably. The adjustable belt (which is actually very slick and slippery; I guess to be sweat-proof) winds up getting looser just as I get sweaty and I wind up having to fiddle with it during most workouts.

Worse, it's pretty impossible to flip past a song easily and the plastic cover doesn't help the situation either when you can get to it.

But for some reason what I hated the worst was trying to get the dang phone out of the case afterwards. It would be like me trying to squeeze my size 6 self out of a size 0 pair of Juniors jeans if I got them zipped up somehow. You gotta work at considerably. So much so I considered keeping the dang phone in the armband case since I workout every day...except you can't use it as a phone if you do. Also, I like to keep my phone in a case so every time I used this to workout out, I had to remove the phone from the case then slip it into this, put my case somewhere, get it out of here and back in the case when done...suddenly I had too much stuff going on with that phone and didn't feel any of it was a convenience.

So, long story short, I got one of those tiny affordable iPods as a present and now I know why I never see ANYone using these iPhone bands at the gym but I see lots of iPods. The iPhone is really just too heavy to be worn for a workout, no matter how badly I want it to work. I actually resulted in just leaving this at home and setting my phone in the cupholder of the treadmill or elliptical of the gym before I got my iPod and that was not a comfortable task, I can assure you.

Bottom line is the older tiny iPods are cheap. You can take the money you'd use on this and find one of those and plug it in to your iTunes that you already have set up on your computer and download all your songs and I clip my little iPod to the bottom of my workout shirt and no matter how intense I workout, it stays put and my phone stays safely at home. This also makes it a snap when I want to change songs.

That said, there are advantages to this one over getting an iPod...first, you only have one electronic device (well, I guess you don't really have one advice since you have to attach the armband...but whatever...) and the second is that this has a reflector around the case if you are walking or jogging at night. I suppose a car's headlights would have to hit you from the side of your arm, but, hey, it's a thing.

4 out of 5 stars Good quality armband   April 10, 2010
Parvez Khan
Greetings,

This Belkin armband piece is rugged and sporty. It is made of high-quality plastic and elastic materials.
The three main components, the iPhone pocket, the cord control mechanism, and the arm clip, seem to be durable.

The plastic cover on the iPhone pocket will need cleaning every once in a while if using in the gym regularly, but this is understandable.

One lowlight: the entire armband seems to be a bit finicky, requiring attention throughout one's workout.

Thanks.
