Meh. September 1, 2010 The guy Pros: Sounds ok for the price
Cons: Flimsy and will likely break in short period of time. Kind of ugly. Came in a bag.
This item is ok. The sound quality is less than spectacular, but adequate. I'm 5'8" and the wire is definitely long enough to use with a mp3 player while walking. I can tell by the quality of the wiring and the reinforcement at the juncture of the ear bud and wire that the sound will probably drop out of one of the earbuds before I would like, but I suppose you get what you pay for. The earbuds also cause my ear canal to itch; this has never happened to me before. I wouldn't discourage or encourage anyone to buy this product. It's not a terrible buy, but I'll spend my money on another product when I need a new headphones.
Excellent for the price August 31, 2010 Sarah (Morton, PA, US) These headphones are a great buy for this price! The sound is great, a huge improvement over my last earphones, they look cool and they are much more comfortable than the Ipod headphones. The only thing of concern for me is that the jack is straight so it might be easier to pull it out by accident, although this has not happened to me yet.
Excellent earphones, excellent service August 31, 2010 Xiang Ji (Madison, WI United States) I've experienced many headphones, including some high-end Sony's and a pair of Shure studio earphones. All my previous relatively inexpensive earphones couldn't compete with the higher end ones, but this one can, and that's an understatement. I do not want to babble on since it's very inexpensive and you should give it a try.
Another plus is that they provide a good level of sound-proofing - I traveled with these during a recent trip overseas and they gave me so much peace over a total of 30+ hrs of flight. I plugged them into my ears just to block out the noise.
About two months into my ownership the right side stopped producing sound, a quick word with Jlab and a replacement pair was sent to me in a few days. Now that's service. I don't know about you but to me that's a *very* important part of me buying a product, thus the five-stars.
Pretty good, actually, but not so good for sleeping August 31, 2010 Music Fan Mark (California USA) I have been using Sony Ear buds (see below) and these were on sale for $20 so I thought I'd give them a try. The two sets of Sony ear buds lasted me around 6-8 months with very frequent sleeping use. I have not used these as long or as much to be able to compare durability. I burned them in and I am happy with how they sound.
Overall I'm happy with them, but had to buy some other smaller cheap skull candy buds for sleeping with, though these sound better. They are pretty comfortable for normal use, just a little too long for my ears when sleeping on my side. Also I had to take a sharpie pen to label the Left and Right as the 5pt "R" & "L" are unreadable without glasses or magnifier.
I will probably go back to the $19 Sony Mdr-Ex32Lp/Whi Ex Earbuds Headphones (White) as these have a pretty decent audio spectrum and are very, very small and sleepable. Sony Mdr-Ex32Lp/Whi Ex Earbuds Headphones (White)
4 Stars for sound, quality, and comfort under normal use, but did not work well for sleeping on. Consider smaller buds if you plan to wear them while sleeping and you sleep on your side(s).
broke in under two weeks August 31, 2010 dd (seattle, wa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First one bud went--then the second went shortly after. Sometimes I can get sound from my PC or iPod by lightly squeezing the connector and holding on--when I let go, boom, no sound.
I've had these barely two weeks . . . waste of time, money and very frustrating.
