These sound awesome. I got them to replace my Sony MDR-EX300 earbuds so I could listen to music and actually take calls coming in without the headache of switching headphones on my Palm Pre.
The work great on my Palm Pre and sound absolutely amazing (comparable to my Sony earphones). I can turn them up super loud and no one else on the subway can hear my music - plus it reduces all the noise quite nicely.
My only complaint is that it's only been 4 months and it seems like they are developing a short in the cord right where the plug is. In their defense, I use them almost every day, so I've gotten a lot of use out of them so far.
Amazing sound. They work great. Great price. Do not expect them to last a year. Make sure you fill out the warranty.
 Good Buds for the $$ August 31, 2010

I fly many times a year and have a pair of high-quality Bose noise cancelling headphones so I know what truly good, crisp headphones sound like. But Bose cost $300 and I always like to pack a small pair of buds for off-plane use, exercise on the road, and touring around places where you don't want to take an expensive pair of phones. Plus, most people are certainly not going to wear those large Bose beasts out and about no matter how good they sound.
All that said, I've think these ear buds have lived up to my expectations if not better. I read a number of reviews of the $15-30 buds and the Jbuds seemed to come out on top for overall sound quality. I'd say the other reviews are correct that they are bass-heavy, but I listen to mostly rock, blues & soul so I'm definitely looking for phones that error on the side of bass-heavy instead of tinny or treble-heavy if anything. Besides that, I think you can tone down the bass to your preference simply by selecting the right EQ setting on your iPod or other EQ-equipped device.
Last, they do a decent job of "noise isolation". Don't mistake that phrase for "noise-cancelling" which truly significantly reduces background noise (e.g. engine noise on a plane). I essentially think of these types of "noise isolation" buds as simply in-ear so they sort of create a "door" with the ear buds closing off your ear and the phone's music on the inside and other noise on the outside. So the noise on the other side of the door is muted, but still there.
Overall, especially for the money, these are decent buds that I'm happy with and a buy I'd recommend.

These are amazing earphones! I haven't needed a "good" pair in the past so I was always using less expensive ones. These are well worth every penny. Most impressive things about them are the comfort and the amount of bass they are able to deliver. I have already recommended these to friends!! I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Having bought 2 sets of J2's, I decided to upgrade a bit and go for the J3's. Right out of the package, the ambient sound was GONE...perfect fit. The sound was great without much 'break-in' and I am thoughourly enjoying them. The microphone and iPod controls are just a nice bonus.
